The Stem Ruritan Club knocked it out of the park again! The annual Stem Easter Egg Hunt was a blast! We had a bouncy house, face painting, raffles, ice cream, a magic show, egg hunts for kids up to age 12 and of course the Easter Bunny. Over 300 of you came out and enjoyed the festivities. We hope to see all of you again next year! Thanks again to the Stem Ruritan Club for all their hard work in making this event possible.
Here is a link to the photos we took at the event. If you have any pictures you would like to share, please use the hashtag #stemnceaster2024

Did you know that North Carolina is considered a “child care desert” when it comes to infant toddler care, with a statewide average of more than 5 families with babies competing for every available licensed child care space? We are convinced that by having more child care opportunities, Granville County will benefit by having economic growth and expansion.
In an effort to raise awareness and assist businesses, churches, etc. in considering the possibility of opening or expanding a child care facility, Representative Sossamon is planning a Child Care Forum on May 23 at "The Grand at Oxford" at Days Inn & Suites. Forum partners include DHHS, SmartStart, Vance and Granville Chambers, local child care centers, the Small Business Center at VGCC, DSS, Childcare Services Association. There will be two sessions on both days.
1:00 - 2:30 p.m. for potential child care sites
6:00 - 7:30 p.m. for the general public
