Downtown Plan: The Town Board is committed to revitalizing our downtown area! We are in the process of developing a comprehensive plan that focuses on enhancing the vibrancy and charm of our town center. From attracting new businesses to improving public spaces, we are dedicated to creating a thriving hub for our community. We expect this plan completed sometime in late February or early March and will unveil it to the public at that time.

Scaling Local Government: As our population continues to grow, so does the responsibility of our local government. The Town Board recognizes this and is actively working on scaling our services and resources to meet the needs of our residents. We strive to provide efficient and effective governance while maintaining the small-town charm that makes Stem so special.

Future Plans for a Town Hall: The Town Board is actively exploring the development of a larger Town Hall facility. This future space will serve as a central hub for community engagement, hosting town meetings, events, and providing essential services to all residents. We hope to have concrete plans to present to the public by the end of 2024.

We are grateful for the opportunity to serve this wonderful community, and we are committed to making Stem an even better place to live, work, and play. Together, let’s build a brighter future for our town!  #StemCommissionsRetreat #2024Priorities #BuildingOurFuture #CommunityFirst

Attention Students and Parents:
For those in need of Wi Fi access the Town of Stem has set up a guest profile for use and is available 24×7 and is reachable outside the Stem Town Hall for students to download and upload assignments. The network name and password are posted on the bulletin board in front of Town Hall.

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic the Town of Stem has made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s Christmas parade. When making this decision, the safety of our residents was our first and foremost concern. We hope to see you at future events, when it is once again safe to gather in large crowds. We will have a virtual visit with Santa and a Christmas Decoration Contest in place of this year’s parade, so stay tuned to our page for more details.

Halloween is coming soon and the CDC has provided guidance for safer Halloween celebrations. While the Town does not plan to cancel trick or treating at this time, we ask our citizens to use their best judgement.
If you plan to take your children trick or treating, maintain social distancing, wear a mask and don’t approach houses without porch lights turned on.
If you are passing out candy, make sure your house is well lit, keep hand sanitizer close by and consider pre-packaging individual treat bags.
Additionally, check out the CDCs guidance below and stay safe!
